What our students say

We are rated 4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot 👉🏼 read all the reviews

As a graphic designer I wanted to gain more of an insight into the world of UX/UI design and I was definitely given the knowledge and tools to be able to apply them into my day to day role.

I took this course as a content designer wanting to learn more about UI and UX. Most other courses don't offer certificates but this one did. So it's great to have actual evidence to place on my CV, LinkedIn and online portfolio.

This was a fantastic week of learning. Each tutor was incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to start a career in UX and or UI.

I did the UX writing course and it was exactly what I needed. I'm looking forward to finishing the UX/UI cycle with the school of ux and upping this to a 5-star review.

Week 1 — UX & UI design fundamentals and wireframing in Figma

  • Carrying out user research, map user journeys, run usability and A/B testing, track conversions and more
  • User Interface design principles, how to make your UI responsive and accessible, create a style guide, and more
  • Setting up analytics and track conversions across your websites — plenty of examples and hands-on exercises
  • Creating an interactive prototype of your own portfolio website using Figma, which you'll then preview and test on your mobile phone.

Week 2 — UX writing, design systems and project work

  • Digital copywriting skills and basic content strategy techniques.
  • Creating a design system that can enable creativity, serve whole teams, and be resilient in the face of organizational change.
  • Working on a project designing a mobile app from scratch

Week 3 — Behavioural psychology, prototyping UI in HTML & CSS and project work

  • Using behavioural science to optimise and personalise user experiences.
  • Prototyping responsive UI using HTML and CSS 👩🏽‍💻 (with no previous coding experience – seriously!). You'll be working on a project from scratch with a lot of practice – designing a mobile-first responsive website, tweaking it in browser and publishing it to your own web hosting.
  • More project work, this time on a large screen desktop app for a public kiosk

Week 4 — Career in UX & Portfolio Advice, Inclusive Design, and personal project

  • You'll leave with plenty of knowledge on what it's actually like to be a UX designer in the field, what you need to become a freelancer, how to create a portfolio, where to find a job, interview tips and market rates.
  • Designing more inclusive user journeys, features and page layouts as well as understand the fundamentals of accessible design.
  • Working on a personal project of your choice, building your portfolio, practicing everything you've learned throughout the bootcamp
